RES-Q+ Presented at the Czech Parliament

Updated: Aug 14

On May 12th, Professor Robert Mikulík from the International Clinical Research Centre presented the RES-Q+ project at the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic. He was invited in his role as Vice-Chairman of the Czech Society for Artificial Intelligence and Innovative Digital Technologies in Medicine to speak about the use of artificial intelligence in stroke care.

The conference addressed the use of artificial intelligence in diagnostics, the current extent of its implementation in hospitals, legislative requirements related to the topic, and the risks of using AI – including the need to understand the processes and data on which the tools are based.

In his presentation, Professor Mikulík emphasized that quality monitoring is essential for improving healthcare. “If we want better outcomes, we must measure how care is delivered,” he stated, highlighting the critical role of AI in transforming raw data into actionable insights.

As part of his talk, he introduced several AI-driven tools developed under the RES-Q+ project, which aims to support stroke care across Europe. These include the Data Importer Tool, which enables automatic integration of hospital data into the quality monitoring platform, Virtual Assistants, designed to monitor patients after discharge, and the Discharge Report Composer, which generates structured, harmonized patient summaries.

These tools were developed within RES-Q+, a European project funded through Horizon Europe, coordinated by Professor Mikulík and involving more than 20 partners from 13 countries. The goal of RES-Q+ is to enhance stroke care by integrating AI into clinical workflows, particularly for quality monitoring and improvement.

In a field where time, precision, and data quality are critical, the RES-Q+ tools represent a major step toward more efficient, intelligent, and patient-centered care.
